Interesting work by others

Here is something I've been wanting to show people since being back in Australia. The folks i was studying with at The University of Kansas particularly the post graduate students where inspiring to me. One student Nate Hoffman works in expanded media and think it can be interested to see how somebody who hasn't gone through a typical ceramics education chooses to use clay. so here is the link to one of his stop animations. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jEOOZ47HjE

Also worth sharing are some photos of the grad students show, we had a good time carrying David Platters large sculpted head into the gallery space. The other work was by Geoffrey Steven Kunkler, Garden of the Forebearer, this was a great ceramic instillation that you could walk through and observe the various shapes and glaze colours of the hundreds of extruded pieces.
